This magic plugin helps to cheat the hit count of articles. Cheating means add a fake number to the read or open count of articles. It is very hard to detect. Because cheating process is based on statistical simulation.
- Number of additional simulated hits
- Maximum number of hits in one execution
- Depth of Reading i.e. number of articles, opened by one visitor
- "Hits by Day as percent" and "Hits by Hour as percent" custom options
1.0.0. 2013-11-18. Initial version.
Configure then test, then configure, then test it again.
This value is average number of all simulated additional hits for all of articles. In a word:
Hits count = Actual hits count + Simulated hits count
Don't set this value too high. Please visit your visitor statistics before set this parameter. But we have a backup plan. This is a parameter was titled "Max. Hits in Execution".
Optimal and automated estimation of this parameter will be added in advanced version.
Max. Hits in Execution
This plugin runs at an article, category or featured list opened. If previous execution time too early, execution time of your joomla application may reaches limit on your servers configuration. So we have added this parameter/limit to prevent your site down. And this limit is number of hits for whole articles i.e. number of total hits.
Don't set "Max. Hits in Execution" too high. Please check your servers performance before set this parameter.
Hits by Day as percent and Hits by Hour as percent
Hits count depends from time (day of week and hour of day). You can take these percentages from your visitor statistics on your web server.
Sum of percentages must equal 100%.
Article Order and Depth of Reading
Now this plugin supports an order "Most recent first" by created date. You can see distribution of hits from a picture.
This distribution depends from "Depth of Reading". If you increase value of "Depth of Reading", will increase chance of (simulated) opening of older articles.
The plugin in demo site simulates 50'000 additional hits in one week.
